It was in 2000 that I first heard about the Avon 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer. Here it is 2002 and I have finally found the courage to commit not only to the 60 miles but to the daunting $1900.

I have been told by many people that I'm crazy or that I'm too soft-hearted to take on such a monumental task of 60 miles, yet, with the statistics surrounding breast cancer in this country, I know that participating in this event is the very least I can do. I have been truly blessed to have none of my family directly affected with breast cancer, yet I know that I want to do whatever I can to protect them from breast cancer in the future along with everyone else I know.
